The Dallas Christian College Worship Arts Department’s 2012 Kingdom Week Tour Program, Heal Our Land, featuring the Concert Choir, Mixed Ensembles and True 2 Life Drama Troupe will be at the Christian Church on Sunday morning, March 11. This year’s tour includes visits to churches in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado and Texas as well as a service project at the YMCA of the Rockies, Estes Park, Colorado.
The Concert Choir is a 30 member mixed chorus which has toured widely in the United States, performing in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, New York, and Ohio, as well as locally in Texas and Oklahoma. In addition, the Choir performed with the Southern Methodist University Meadows Chorale at its 2006 Grand Event held in the Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, Texas.
Focusing on the familiar passage from 2 Chronicles 7:14, this year’s tour program will feature a message in drama plus a variety of gospel and contemporary Christian classics, including The Last Words of David, On Jordan’s Stormy Banks, Be Thou My Vision, An American Anthem, and Heal Our Land (Song for the National Day of Prayer). Heal our Land is a full worship experience that will inspire your heart. The DCC Concert Choir is under the direction of Mr. Scott Spies and is accompanied by Mrs. Bonnie Graem.
Studensts will also prsent updates about the College and its ministry during Sunday School.
