Online Sunday School - March 21, 2021
For Preschoolers, Children, and Youth
“Who do you say Jesus Is?”
“Then Jesus asked them, “And who do you say I am?”
Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” John 16:15-16
Did you know that each of us gets to say who we are? Did you know that God gets to say who He
For example, if you were to describe yourself to others, is? He does so in His Word, the Bible.
what would you say (fill in the blanks): God's character may be endless, but they are
-I love _____ (who do you love the most?) also very clear. Yet, time and time again,
-I am a ____ (who are you in your family?) people say who God is according to the way
-I am a friend of _______ (who?) they want Him to be.
-I am a _______ (what grade are you in?) For example, many people say God is the
-I do _________ (during the day). following: -God will allow ALL people into Heaven one
-I love to eat ______ (what food?) -God is tolerant, He’s ok, with sin.
-I want to live in____ (where in the world?) day. -God does not hear my prayers.
-God requires me to work in order to
become a Christian.
-Jesus is not God
-God does not exist.
The above list is filled with false, wrong beliefs
about God. Yet, if we took the time to read the
Bible, we would learn who God says He is and
understand that these points are false based
on what God Himself says about Himself.
We do not get to say who God is apart from the truth of what the Father in Heaven and His Word, the Bible says.
It is very important that we allow God to tell us who He is through the power of His Holy Spirit in our lives. And remember, the truth of who God is
will ALWAYS agree with the Bible. God will NEVER go against His Word.
Preschoolers Song “Jesus Son of God”
Children: Song “We Believe”
Youth: “Who Do You Say I Am?”
- After you watch….what do you think: What’s right and wrong about this view of Jesus?
- Comparing the guy with yourself, do you have the same or different kind of relationship with Jesus?
Stories: Pastor Doug shares a folk tale that reveals the Biblical truth, that you can't trust what some people say.
The Gospel of Mark: Good News
Mark 9:14-29 - Prepared Jesus - Pastor Doug teaches from Mark 9:14-29 which records that time when Jesus cast out and deaf and dumb spirit that His disciples could not budge. Jesus reminds us that anything is possible when we trust Jesus to ... well ... be Jesus.
